    of another myth this morning (as morning joe discusses public ed with it enemies).  

    HL Mencken said something along the lines of: the most dangerous American assumption is that lawyers and journalists can understand and fix any public problem.  

    No one on the panel this morning on Morning Joe has any business whatsoever discussing this topic, especially the politicians, no, especially the idiot journos.

      one of the "foibles of the society" goes something like this:

      The society works the way it does because all of its laws were written by computer programmers.

      Corollary: The reason the US works the way it does might be because its computer programs are written by lawyers.

      I think there's an important nugget of truth here. We let lawyers do too many jobs that, frankly, they are not qualified to do.
