  •  My Letter to Rep. Nan Hayworth (R) NY-19 (19+ / 0-)

    Dear Congresswoman,

Let's hope that your membership in the female gender overrides what has historically been your slavish devotion to conservative/tea-party orthodoxy no matter how counter to reality said orthodoxy runs.  Today, however, you must join any and all rational people (especially women) in speaking out against the hateful, misogynistic language spouted by Rush Limbaugh regarding Sandra Fluke and the current (ridiculous) debate over contraception.

I am writing today to strongly urge you to contact Defense Secretary Panetta to advocate for the removal of Rush Limbaugh's broadcast from Armed Services Radio.  I cannot stomach that my tax money is being used to pay for this programming and worse, that is is being delivered to those serving in harm's way.

Limbaugh is a plague on the body politic and you'd do yourself well as a woman to distance yourself from his hateful speech.  Do the right thing here Nan and urge Panetta to drop this drug-addled, women-hating blowhard from Armed Services Radio.

I am not advocating censorship mind you. Fools have a right to tune into his garbage on AM radio.  But it is a travesty that all Americans should be paying to infect the minds of our troops overseas with such diseased discourse.

    Respectfully yours,
    A. Robb

Worked for John Hall's feckless campaign but after the summer of "death panel" screaming tea partiers at town halls, it was not to be and we're stuck with this harpy.  But I will be working to make her a one term rep.

Had this to say in a recent Redstate comment - which went UNCHALLENGED by the other readers - of a diary about health costs:

Not only is the individual mandate a horrible insult to personal liberty, the whole idea that there is an inherent right to health care is crazy. Health care is for those who can pay, for those who planned ahead, for those who did what is necessary to create and maintain a true, robust, permanent safety net – the family. I suppose there is some role for emergency rooms and society will always have to pick up some costs. But theses costs must be limited, and not distort a free market for health care. Some excess mortality is going to result, but in the long run, creating incentives for families to work together to care for each other, and creating incentives for people to work to afford health care, will create a healthier, stronger, less dependant society. Odd that the liberals don’t see that, given their love of Darwin. Not everyone survives, nor should survive, and universal health care will bankrupt the nation as well as destroy livelihoods and wealth creation in the health care industry.
Cruel fare from the pro-life party - what a bunch of damned hypocrites!

is heard from.  The Family must do all. And if the Family fails, well, Some excess mortality is going to result.

There are minds I don't understand at all, and times I am thankful for  ignorance.
