  •  A Texas trip (3+ / 0-)

last year I took a trip to McAllen Tx.18 hours on the road to see my daughter and Grand children. I think that is all that on the radio in Tx. & AR. :( everytime one of the RWNJ talk shows came on,  I went looking for some music

    •  Our most recent car (9+ / 0-)

came with XM satellite radio installed; it's worth the few bucks a month for the expanded options. Driving down I-5 to SoCal your choices are pretty much country, Christian, or Christian country, with a smattering of Latino stations along the way. I love XM just for the expanded sports offerings, but there's some really great music (we had my rocker brother-in-law in the car with us yesterday so we kept it tuned to Deep Tracks).
