    are not overly accurate.  On the whole, though, it may wash out due to sheer number of datapoints, yielding a  composite score that might still be relatively accurate. No one could accuse New Mexico of being other than dismally car-dependent, and my neighborhood's 20% score didn't strike me as too far off.

      I'm wondering if they have some sort of a crowdsourced tool where people can update information for their neighborhoods.

        be based on general-purpose publicly-available data like that already published by Google, Yahoo, etc.

      •  I looked at the transit accessibility (4+ / 0-)

        and it left out one of three bus routes, which connects to the transit center one way and to the DART light rail line the other way.  It's 0.27 mi. from my house.  I question the measure of transit accessibility - - it's not bad where I live, for a suburban part of Dallas TX.  They said it was 0.34.
