fathers (those who are actually raising their children, that is) and about the bravery of women giving birth. Congratulations on the imminent arrival of your newest grandchild (how great, to be born on Int. Women's Day!) May both mother and baby come through the procedure with complete health and happiness.
However--if you are going to point out one grammatical error, it's only fair for you to be held to high standards in your comment as well. It's a double-d in granddaughter.

I knew it was gauche to start down that path. I also knew that since I refuse to use any spell checker or grammar checker, (My personal vanity. My dad was an editor.) that I was sooner or later to be hoist on mine own petard.

I am always for improving the condition and use of the english language, tambien hablo espanol, (un poco) bastante bien para salir del paso, por lo menos, but english is my first love. Such precise and beautiful euphonious phrasing.

I digress. Thanks for pointing out my gaffe, and I encourage you to keep pointing them out to me. That's probably the only way I'll learn to shut up....

I suggest you check into the "Cranky Grammarians" group here on DKos. It was started just a few weeks ago, and though I'm not sure that it's generated much activity yet, the resources are clearly available. Plus, just having the group might mean that those of us who are inclined to be extraordinarily picky--I mean, demanding--can find a safer outlet there ;)
Again, happy birthday to your new grandbaby. Joyful day!
