Why do you think that the collective judgement of those of us here at DKOS is better than the collective judgement of your son and his fellow soldiers? Do we have some greater wisdom and intellectual capacity that is not present in the members of our armed services? What is it about our judgement that should overrule theirs when AFN is in place to serve them?

Do you think that Limbaugh has been an AFN favorite because he hurts moral and sows doubt? Limbaugh has always been a vocal supporter of the troops, and missions, in Afghanistan (and has visited them there) as well as Iraq. I always thought that it was remarkable that AFN allowed liberal talk show hosts who opposed the war in Iraq to broadcast over AFN. One thing that can certainly hurt moral in an active war zone are broadcasters who oppose the mission. That has never been the case for Limbaugh.

Now, I think Limbaugh is a jerk, and his remarks about Ms. Fluke were reprehensible, but in my view the decision of who should be on AFN is the troops to make, not armchair critics sitting safely behind their computers.
