I'd be interested to see a comparison. I guess I'll use the googles.

      Republican 2012 = 50,764

      Democratic 2008 = approx 245,000

In my Legislative District alone, we had over 20,000 attendees.  It's the most Democratic district in the state, but it's also just one of 49 LDs.

The WA Dems are guessing that we'll have about a quarter the attendance at precinct caucuses this time around (our caucuses won't occur until April 15).  If they're right -- IMHO, they're overestimating by a lot -- then these pro forma Democratic caucuses would beat the GOP's "all-time record caucus attendance" by about 10,000.

Labor is prior to, and independent of, capital. Capital is only the fruit of labor, and could never have existed if labor had not first existed. Labor is the superior of capital, and deserves much the higher consideration. -- K.Marx A.Lincoln

In 2008, 2,400,000 Democrats turned out to choose between Obama and Hillary. This year, only 1,200,000 Republicans cared about Romney/Santorum/Gingrich/Paul. Ohio is nearly 50/50 in voter registration.

Take the "Can't(or)" out of Congress. Support E. Wayne Powell in Va-07.
