    Day # 1, but not in the imagination and consciousness of the public at large.  Wall St. and the people who work there redistributing wealth upward are not "Manhattan".

      How many people do you know who work for banks? It turns out that the major retail banks have lots of 99%ers, and lots of ethnic minorities. The financial service industry is a huge employer, employing about one out of every six employees in Manhattan.

      •  I guess that most of the people that I know who (0+ / 0-)

        work for the banks are the NJ commuters who if not the 1%'ers aspire to be the 1% people.  They get up at 4:00am to get those trains from Princeton Junction and Hamilton and Red Bank and think they are doing God's work in keeping the engine of worldwide capitalism alive.  While they may be among the 99%'er, do they support the goals and aims of Occupy?  Generally, from those I know, they do not.  They seem mostly to be in it for themselves.
