  •  I can't believe...I thought protesting would help (10+ / 0-)

After 50 years of protesting and demonstrating, writing and calling "representatives", signing petitions, and yes, even taking up arms against monopoly corporate fascism, as well as organizing and agitating in the masses, virtually my whole life...

I have come to the conclusion that there's only one way to resolve the contradictions...and that is to actually seize the power, for real, for a change.

I see no prospect for that to occur, especially from a complete collapse of society, which could only lead to chaos, in a bad way, and exponentially more suffering and death...

Except for bringing forward the better Democrats for the Primaries, and then mobilizing a truly massive electoral uprising in November, to once and for all purge the Republicans (and Blue Dog ilk) from all levers of power, to the greatest extent possible, explicitly to suppress the Right, legislatively and judicially.

This is not the 60's anymore, heh.

    Conditions have changed.

80% of "Americans" now want to go green, and are even willing to pay more for it. Indeed, a vast majority of the "American" peoples are now staunchly opposed to racism, sexism, eco-rape, murderous monopoly corporate fascist rip offs and imperialist warmongering profiteering.

My analysis is that the revolution, at long last, is at hand.

Teh DFH never "lost", and never "gave up".

We just stood down from the radical "revolutionary" rhetorical posturing and futile symbolic gestures of protest and defiance, and DECIDED, by CONSENSUS, to "take it to the masses", to build the material base of popular democratic grassroots support required for legitimate revolution, anywhere.

Not everyone got the memo, or understood what was going down, or agreed with it, heh...

But millions of us went home, back to school or work, and to building our co-ops, communes and collectives, continuing our organizing drives and agitation in the masses, but promulgating our perspectives in more direct action and deeds "in the streets", in a more direct and personal, one on one real life manner, beyond mere propaganda memes.

In the "war" over the hearts and minds of our nation, which we never sought to wage, but was brought by the class enemy, we engaged in resolute protracted grassroots struggle, everywhere, across the nation, for 30 years.

And now we have won those hearts and minds.

As I see it, all that remains is to purge and suppress the class enemy, which I see a real prospect for doing democratically, electorally, at this critical juncture of history.

The overwhelming popular democratic mandate of '08 was in avid response to an explicit rhetoric, for justice and peace, to save the planet.

The fact that the Right retained, JUST BARELY, sufficient plurality in the House and Senate, with all those remnant Blue Dog ilk in there, to block, delay and sabotage all progress does not phase me in the slightest, in this regard.

Nobody with a brain could realistically expect the Obama administration to get optimal results while hostage to Right wing majorities since day one.

    It's not over yet.

    The struggle continues.

But now most thinking people realize, the DFH were right, all along.

    Bring the Better Democrats!

    All Out for the Primaries!

Democracy is the most fundamental revolutionary principle.

You can make a difference in the world; just by doing something good for someone else today.
