    I live in Michigan.  I walk every day, unless it's below 0 degrees wind chill, or really nasty freezing rain.  My dog has a quilted coat for below 20 degrees.  I have a good pair of boots with a tread, and a good set of long underwear.  

    You can't beat the total mood enhancement from smelling the fresh air, hearing a bird, and stretching our your body with a good walk.  If you vary your route, it's interesting.  Sometimes I substitute cross-country skiing if there's enough snow.

    I've been walking for over 40 years, every day.  Wouldn't change a thing.  P.S. I hate the gym.
