    part owner, formerly Californian, and a BIG wingnut. Really trying hard to influence the direction of the state, and it's NOT gonna' happen!

    Local paper in Eugene runs Doonesbury in the comics, weekly & Sunday. Will be interesting to see what they decide to do with this.

      I wouldn't subscribe to it if it were ten cents per day.  If you have ever lived anywhere else that actually has a real newspaper, you wouldn't use the Oregonian for packaging material.

        the Oregonian has been better than it is now. I was not as politically aware in earlier years, so it may have been as bad as you think then too, but it's the "big town" paper I'm most familiar with.
