    in general this primary is pretty low turnout to begin with. So it only represents a relatively small people on the fringe of society. (Granted, the fringe is bigger than it should be, but it's still a small minority.)

      The primary is and has been exciting , FOR ME . This is a chance to show the country what we think.
      I've been emotional about elections for some time , I don't understand how others can't be. Especially since the dawn of the internet.
      If I was a republican I would want the best candidate . Now, republicans are billing this election 'The Most Important Election EVER'.
      That being said, still a low turnout ? I remember our last primary-people were excited. It seemed (which is not a figure or anything) thousands were in line to cast their choice - Hillary or Obama. We knew it was important, we declared it.
      I guess, since 2000 every election has been super important.
      The primary is the start of all of it.
