  •  Yeah, I didn't get the sympathy angle either (10+ / 0-)

It made her look like the unstable moron she is.

If anything, it showed sympathy towards McCain. The movie completely ignored all of the mudslinging he did on his own and made it appear as if he was a victim of his own staff and Palin.

If this was a fictional portrayal of something that never happened, I would come out of the movie with a pretty high opinion of McCain. But, knowing all of the facts and what really happened, I still think he's a dishonorable prick who's responsible for giving us Palin and the teabaggers.

    •  Also, I think they should have included the (4+ / 0-)

part where McCain stood up Letterman to rush back to Washington to solve the economic crisis. They had several editions of the parodies Tina Fey did of Palin on Saturday Night Live. Why couldn't they show the part where Letterman caught him being interviewed by Katie Couric when he was supposed to be on his way back to DC?

They did include the part where McCain tried to suspend the campaign to deal with the economic crisis and Obama's retort that a President needs to be able to do more than one thing at a time ... but then they also laid that idea at the feet of McCain's staff. In fact, all the bad choices belonged to somebody other than McCain according to the movie.
