    a person could write every week for an entire year and not cover them all.

    Cheerleading is considered a sport and girls can get scholarships for being on cheerleading squads. That said, I would steer my daughter away from it because cheerleading is too close to beauty pageants for me. Certainly professional cheerleaders project an image that I would not want my daughter emulating. It may be unfair but there it is.

    When kids play sports (see the video in the comment right above yours), they enhance their self-esteem. My 12 year old daughter tells me stories about girls at her school and regularly mentions that they are "boy crazy" (with eye rolls). This is a relief to me (huge understatement). Kids grow up fast enough ... no need to rush things.
