  •  thank you for minding the government's business (0+ / 0-)
That it was ever a good idea to post this blog about a case that you could've gone away for life for had it gone the other way?
Thank you for admitting what your bias and purpose is.

The case failed spectacularly. You imagine it wasn't the best.  The true impact of it, the purpose of it (and the attack on several others, not just Drake) was to consolidate message control and the executive power, rule by fiat.  It was concocted and dreamed up for that purpose.

You either don't want to deal with that or support it, attack the concept of exposing we are in the process of losing the democracy due to collusion: not inattention, not failure to do things promised, not to use the Justice system as a means of investigating and prosecuting actual criminal activity but to spend more effort on silencing dissent and fine tuning the rule by decree.

The utter lack of prosecuting abuses, the defacto Star Chamber and continuation of the WORST of the previous administration as deliberate policy is what is a huge problem here.  The leadership of the two parties, not public pronouncement or speech  or campaign ads
is in sync with this process of stripping out the actual thin strains of democracy left to us. Only a judicial overrule in the Drake case interrupted THIS process.

The comments of the spokesperson for the DOJ attempts to minimize the impact of the loss and tries to spin the original value of the prosecution even after the judge's admonitions and scathing exposure of the DOJ case theory as a security breach. The point is, it was a corrupted agency and political appointees doing their best at collusion to advance certain private interests and perverting State Dept policy for their own narrow ends that was exposed. And the DOJ was using the case to continue to cover up, intimidate others from coming forward.

You claim this is insignificant because it is "one" case. You also claim that it is naughty to focus on it because in another judge's courtroom it might have been decided completely differently, and Drake sent away for life. Don't we understand we shouldn't talk about such things?

No, GoGoGo, you are the one who shouldn't be talking about things unless you have something more than trollish objections to contribute.

Your skepticism and objections amount to trolling "for the other side".  What do you have useful to contribute ? You want this discussion to go away?  You don't want the story circulated about abuses that strike at the heart of the American system, are fundamental in showing where we are today, what we need to look at and in which direction we should go?  OK.  duly noted.

    This currently under construction..
