    ...when I'm too lazy to walk from the library area to the area around Powell's.  

    It doesn't seem to be worth the expense to have such a project in the city when one can just take the MAX lines either north and south (Yellow and Green Lines) or east and west (Red and Blue) for free in downtown, and out to Lloyd Center or the Rose Garden.  

    It's also odd to have the streetcar going north-south along MLK and Grand - that area is mostly commercial, industrial, and convention center and its hotels, with few large office buildings.  

    9-11 changed everything? Well, Katrina changed it back.
