    •  You mean, "FEEL that it should be illegal." (6+ / 0-)

Those people don't seem to do anything that I would recognize as "thinking."

      •  It's almost fascinating (5+ / 0-)

that it's down to 23%! Considering what it must have been a decade or two ago. And it's even lower among young people, senior citizens are actually what drags this to 23%, with only 49% of them thinking it should be legal. It just goes to show how attitudes on who should be able to marry who can change over time to where what one person might think is totally crazy or barbaric can be acceptable just a little farther down the line... here's to hoping we see much more such change in the future.

With the trend away from public schools - or towards public schools with ultra-conservative school boards.

to win those local races that are the breeding ground for higher office for 40 years.  It's about time the Democrats started working that level of politics every election cycle instead of waiting for the outrage to kick in.

Everyone who doesn't say 'legal' to that question feels it should be illegal. 'Not sure' on this question is just as racist as 'illegal'. So that's 33% in Alabama and 46% in Mississippi who are against mixed-race marriage, not counting the ones that lied and did say 'legal' only because it is the 'socially acceptable' answer.
