  •  they have faith, they believe, they know (0+ / 0-)

in their hearts, they can feel the Lord working through them.  Look at the vernacular.   Look at their budgets.   Education, qualifications, thoughtfulness, facts, they don't matter.    If ever a population was bred to be the foot soldiers in a war against reason, civil liberties and personal freedom, it was Southern Republicans.   The slightly more self aware ones, when you point out the flat out lies behind the most recent internet Anti-Obama email campaigns, reply, they know, they just don't care.  He's black.

    •  There are still more Dems in the South (0+ / 0-)

than there are registered Republicans.  It's just that they feel the same way, and they vote for Republicans too.

      •  I don't really think so (0+ / 0-)

Georgia and North Carolina come closest to balance, but still red.  Georgia and SC don't require voters to register by party, so no official numbers.    Large numbers of minorities in certain urban centers tend to be Democrats, and tend to make up a significant proportion of Democratic voters in Georgia,  and vote like it.

I don't think your portrayal is accurate, but I will concede if you have reliable sources.
