  •  I get the feeling that a whole lot of people (2+ / 0-)

are going to show up at the polls in November, and slap-in-the-face discover for the first time that they suddenly don't have a right to vote.

These sort of polling results are just more reminders of the GOP that they have to cripple the electorate if things keep going in the direction they are headed in. People don't want what they are selling, they don't want Romney, and they don't blame the Democrats or Obama for the GOP's various messes.

    What's left?

    Voter disenfranchisement.

There is a real disconnect with the country and the GOP, yes, but the media covers everything with a 'both sides are equally to blame' tone, and a lot of everyday people who don't pay too close attention and who get the news when they get big and bad surprises just don't seem to get how big the ratfuck might be on election day.

Every time I see results like this, and think about the number of voter disenfranchisement efforts going down across the country, I shudder at what election night is going to be like when a lot of people who don't pay attention and only vote in Presidential elections get the message the hard way.

I imagine people finding out about the new Voter ID laws when they are escorted out of polling places shocked and angry.

    •  One more thing to worry about (0+ / 0-)

But with GOP enthusiasm at a historical low, I think I'll wait for something more...substantive to worry about.

Then again, maybe not. But feel free to worry all you like! It's good for the brain, I hear.
