don't get to 5k miles before then.

When I started this job, my car had 23k on it (average of 384 miles a month).  I purchased it Christmas of '06.  I've put 7k on in the last 4.5 months.  It's shocking to me to have put that many miles on the car in such a short time!!!

The last job, I participated in the van pool.  Paying 65 bucks a month was a whole lot cheaper than driving myself and it was only 3 miles to the pick up point.  I've figured that if I were still at the last job and driving the whole way to work, I'd be putting around 350 miles a week on the car.  I'm putting around 300-310 miles a week driving over to Peoria and back each week..... so, I'm putting a little less on my car now than I would have been.... yes, the weird stuff you think about on a 3 hour drive... I'd also had a 11-13 hour total commute time each week... now it's 8.....

68K miles on it in January of 2006. 34K a year. Lots of seat time on the commute. 41K from Jan 2006 to Jan 2012. Just over 6K/yr. I like to think that the little beastie is sitting there going thanks for the retirement!!! So far it is treating me well.

Sig seen on Redstate: ABO Anybody But Obama. Sorry, I'm stealing that.... Another Barack Opportunity. Vote Obama/Biden 2012!
