Her party is an aging, shrinking, dying demographic of rural White men.
You know, maybe the BASE of her party consist partially of this demographic-the actual stereotypes which were seen on Pelosi's video on Bill Maher's HBO show 3/9.

But there is another group, far larger than that base which is the cause of concern for me.  Collectively they probably make up a larger segment of the population than those of us who consider themselves thoughtful and rational (i.e., us progressives).  Just who makes up this demographic?

The 'educated' among them are grossly misinformed--as they watch Fox exclusively.  They are oftentimes closet racists (I know a few of those myself--the ones who flocked to the "Don't Re-Nig in 2012 bumper sticker site before it shut down), they are conservative evangelicals that listen to their leader's speeches questioning the President's Christainity (the very fact that it MATTERS says it all there), they are the lower middle class people who are trying to live in an America that takes a $25 per hour job to support a family of four on, with a collective income of $23 per hour. They are the people who suspect that their taxes are paying for the people Pelosi portrayed on her video shown on Bill Maher's 3/16 show--and that all "those people" are the basically the same as the guy waiting in line for his  "Obama Bucks".

They are the social security recipients who want the government to keep their hands of Medicare  (...and then vote Republican), they are the people influenced easily by other people who, themselves, feel they can only build themselves up as an "authority" to be listened to by tearing down the Democratic ideals.  And behind all of this are the 1%ers who own the media these people are likely to come into contact with ASIDE from Faux News.

All of those people are the ones you need to watch out for--they ARE the "silent majority" in this country; thank God half of them are too ignorant to vote.
