    If you feel it is fair to continue with higher education cuts, so your generation can receive Medicare in its current form, then I question your sense of entitlement.

    This is about fairness to everyone.  If someone has income from retirement accounts and pensions, shouldn't their copay be higher?  Remember that their copay saves money for other social programs.

    Like I said, government spending as a percentage of the population has actually decreased over the past decade.  This means the government is investing less in its citizens.

    I don't think anyone should go without healthcare, regardless of age.  Still someone that is 68 with a $500 hundred thousand dollars in savings, shouldn't receive the same level of help as an 18 year old kid from the inner city, who wants to go to college.

    Don't take my word for it.  Check the percentage of federal spending, and what has happened as Medicare has spilled over.  The rest of the federal budget gets squeezed as Medicare plus interest payments bulge.
