    ... OUR taxes, for that is exactly what will happen to middle class taxpayers when the Bush tax cuts expire. What needs to change is to de-link the cuts from the wealthy brackets and let only the cuts in the high brackets expire. As for the lower rates on capital gains and interest, now there's a dog fight!

    We can't take this one for granted. As much as some Progressives don't care if the middle bracket cuts expire, the great majority of Federal income tax payers care a lot.

    The GOP controls the House - despite the election results, even if they're favorable to Democrats - through the end of this year and revenue measures start there. Just watch: there's no way the Republicans will let just the middle class cuts get a vote in the House.
