  •  Love Yeungling. Eating at Applebees makes me (6+ / 0-)

think of opening a salt shaker, emptying the contents into my mouth, and chewing while attempting to wash it down with an overpriced Coors Lt. YMMV.

Today, strive to be the person you want to be.

You have to wait an hour for the waiter to bring you the salt and overpriced Coors ;)

The service at Applebees was awful last time I was there. That's one reason why that will be the last time there.

    •  I'm not a big fan of their food but I'll (9+ / 0-)

tell you : they and many (I can tell you which) medium level chain restaurants do a great job taking care of people with severe food allergies. McCormick nearly killed me with total iindifference. Applebees always sends out a manager who takes my order, walks it back and brings out my plate him/herself. Some family restaurants give me that level of service. Some shrug and say "we don't do that"  even though ADA requires that they feed me food that isn't toxic to me with ample warning and flexible ordering.

Why do I bring this up? Because I've heard too many of my liberal fans mocking medium level chain restaurants. And yeah, I eat organic arugula type food mostly too. But when I hear that bashing of Applebee's or Chilis or similar,, I'm thinking, you have no idea whom you may be deeply offending: someone whose child's life is on the line every day and vegan, Vegatarian, Thai and some other types of restaurants that you (not 'you' but you generically)  are  raving about are totally  off limits to us.  We can't even walk in the door.

Oh, and often bakeries too. And ice cream shops

So, just keep that in mind if being a liberal includes being compassionate to you.

        Not "liberal fans"

I don't know WHAT autocorrect was thinking. I am positive  that my "fans" are limited to the furry two lying at my feet, and they are only my fans because I feed them, take them interesting places, and play fetch with them. And my female "fan" easily prefers my husband anyhow.

The male is my groupie though. Everyone should have one of those.

        ;)
