...but, more importantly, it reflects my research, and the reality that the door has been all but fully-opened to total information awareness in our society.

And, if you doubt my statement here, perhaps you should read Jesselyn Radack's assessment of this, along with Thomas Drake's commentary, in the other post on this topic, currently on the rec list. And, while some might not deem it pertinent to their position in this thread, I will point out that Jesselyn Radack is widely considered to be one of the most knowledgeable people on this subject in the country.

The person casting aspersions in this thread, however, is known for doing that in many of my posts...and for quite some time. (By the way, they are clearly going off-topic, here; and, into an area which is devoid of truth, on their part, as well; merely parroting divisive crap spewed by falsely-/dishonestly-/obsessively-documented "facts" from people that have little more to do with their time than...wait for it...also making stuff up and/or distorting facts--by taking my quotes out of context--and also doing so on an ongoing basis, as well.)

But, that's the way it is...just like the title of this post...and I don't see either of those two realities changing anytime soon. Goes with the territory, I s'pose...

There's always a few flying monkeys buzzing about in any diary critical of the administration, making arguments eerily reminiscent of those conservatives used to use defending the Busheviks.  Poor logic, sophistry and personal invective are always prominently on display.

It's part of the background noise when you write a critical diary, so I wouldn't take it too personally.  I usually ignore them, but sometimes that's hard to do.

Keep writing.  You bring us some of the best stuff on the site.
