    The issue of compassion, of the struggle to see things from other perspectives, is something I've concerned myself with for a long time (as some of the discussion I had in comments in your last diary indicates).

    It's seldom easy and never perfect, I certainly fail miserably at it myself from time to time, but if we're to have hope of making a better society it behooves us all to keep trying.
