  •  I didn't know about the OLB (7+ / 0-)

Keep me in the loop on all the future events.  I'm not on most mailing lists except for grunt work so I depend on others to know the events that are going on.

I have the new car now (just in time for all those Madison trips, too).  The 20 year old car wasn't trusted too much to travel far, but now I can go anywhere.

I, too, hope that the courts favor the appeal.  The courts have drawn our maps in the past and could again.

also maybe when it is a longer drive we can car-pool (?) I was interested in going to the one tonight but had a hard time justifying the cost of gas to my money manager :).

the event was to be way north of Madison. But you are definitely on the "Bridge Party" list! Will let you know what we come up with next.

With my Garmin, of course along with a destination address.  I'm useless with directions.

It's been found that certain groups of people, which I won't name for fear of seeming sexist, generally orient a pathway with turns (left or right) and landmarks (the Taco Bell), while the other group generally orients by compass points (north, west) and distance. (Vive la différence!) When you try to satisfy both systems, you often wind up with a confusing mess, though the worst by far is the list Google generates for directions.

I always wave off attempts to give me directions, and say, "Tell me where it is, not how to get there."

Some people "get it", but I get lost going across the street.  Directions and maps help a bit, but Garmin is the real solution.  They used to be around $400, but I bought one and ate Mac n Cheese, hot dogs, peanut butter and Ramen for a long time to pay for it.  I have no regrets.

I did find that satellite view on Google helps with an overall comprehension of my final destination when it's an overpass and not a place with it's own address (helps figure out where to park, too).
