  •  Oh (4+ / 0-)

I'd think that given at whom you'd vent your righteous anger, I predict a big spike of mojo as we pile on in support rather than a ban.

    Still, we got your back

    •  Well...I would be saying "the nice stuff" (7+ / 0-)

      about NOM, actually.

The mean stuff would be reserved for black pastors and preachers who decided that it was lucrative to be lawn jockeys for NOM specifically and conservative politics generally.

      and I'm still being nice...

      •  i know *precisely* what you are thinking (4+ / 0-)

it's amazing that little old me and little old you threaten these poor people on the other side of the country that they have to engage in serial alleged violations of state laws while they try to turn other people against each other

and i'm being nice, too. for now.

(The above was probably snark, for the snark challenged) (The below was actually said by George W Bush in a press conference) I'm kind of stalling for time here...They told me what to say. George W Bush, 03-21-2006 10:00 EST Press Conference

As in the "Family Research Council" headed by Tony Perkins himself. What many people don't know is that Tony was a buddy of David Duke's, the KKK leader who once tried for a career in public office (and got something like one-third of the vote in Louisiana), even buying Duke's mailing list in the mid-90s when Perkins was a legislative aide (the campaign for which he worked was later fined for trying to hide the purchase). Perkins went on to speak to at least one "Concerned Citizens" council, which are the modern-day descendants of the pro-segregation White Citizens' Councils of the 50s and 60s.

Perkins, through the FRC, has been instrumental in building linkages between African-American churches and the anti-gay hate movement. We need to expose this kind of thing whenever they try the wedge strategy.
