My old pharmacist ws soemone my hsuband knew and I like to support small businesses--until the owner went on local TV and said he would not carry Plab B out of his deep respect for life.  Of course i'd been getting birth controls for menopause, and he filled those. EASY to refuse Plan B which is not something women use every month--unlike the lucrative Pill. We stopped using him--after telling him why.

We said,"We respect your right to refuse. But we are exercising our right not to patronize a right-wing fundamentalist Christian moron who puts his 'values' in front of women's health."

We order on the net now, nad get 3 months for the cost of one.

The last time we mixed religion and politics people got burned at the stake.

    •  Hey Irish, (0+ / 0-)

You're my kind of gal!   :-)

As of 02/22/2012 in Washington State pharmacists can exercise their "religious freedom" by denying women access to Plan B because the judge thinks there aren't any bigots in this state.

      •  I got fed up with his stuffing his faith down (0+ / 0-)

my throat. My husband was tired of the little bimbos he hired jabbering on their cell phones while customers were lined up waiting. For us,it was a win/win.
