    Here is a New York Times article from last October that illustrates the problem.

    Race, Religion and Same-Sex Marriage

    Without drawing much attention to it yet, one of the leading groups promoting same-sex marriage has taken an interesting tack, one that implicitly acknowledges the complicated relationship between gay Americans and another minority group not firmly on their side.
    I would also recommend reading the comments.

        NOM is using divide and conquer while pro rights groups are trying to educate people. The President would do a lot to change those numbers among AAs, but to my recollection, he still does not support same-sex marriage.
