  •  There is a paper trail regarding that (11+ / 0-)

server. And the person or persons who bought it and had in installed are utterly defenseless, since the only reason that server existed, at all, was to facilitate commission of numerous felonies.

There's where the rolling over will start.

circument the automatic saving and storage of internet communications through the Countys internet connection.  Government communications, even the mundane stuff, must be stored for open records requests.  Installing the separate connection and making it wireless allowed them to communicate in private (or at least they thought so until the FBI started to unravel it).

    •  Well that, and the question of where the funds (7+ / 0-)

came from to buy the server and the various pieces of equipment, and the computers that went with it.

And then, who authorized the expenditures? Who set the whole thing up? And so on.

easily covered by slush $$.  Illegal for avoiding documentation and MKE CO IT staff - and records requests - yet easily hidden.

However, iirc again, part of the $$ Russell or lover stole from vets fund were used to pay for Walker campaign websites so it's probably hidden in there, too.

Oh, the net draws tighter  :o)

    •  iirc, Russell set it up while he was Walker's Dpty (11+ / 0-)

      CoStaff.

The day after Wink resigned (caught pro-Walker blogging from work during R Gov primary then general), Walker emailed Russell - on same secret/internal system - to say "no more stories like this (blogging/laptops/websites on county time)."  This was after Russell had moved to MKE Co Housing position...meaning Russell was still in charge of political arm of Walker's campaign even though no longer in Co Exec office.

Bonus: then-Walker Deputy CoStaff KRindfleisch text/im'd Russell later that same day to say "I've taken the network down, router is in my bag."  Again, Russell was no longer in Co Exec admin At All.  WTF?

Only if he was still running illegal political team with county employees would he be in this specific communication loop.

Sing or Burn, Tim Russell.  Sing or Burn...

      •  Insider info (5+ / 0-)

She was blogging on news sites, specifically the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel as though she was Jane Average Citizen.  Her blogs were either attacks on opponents or sky high praise for Walker.  The Journal-Sentinel itself noticed the multiple postings from the IP address which led them to the County Execs Office.
