    why not say "holy men"?  why allude to dresses?  what is lost by being clear that the line has all to do with piety and not gender variance?

      and if the context doesn't make it clear? Perhaps your antennae are hypersensitive to that particular pheromone? "Men in dresses" could also refer to a bagpipe band, it doesn't have to be about trans.

        what are you? defensive?  arrogant?  intolerant?

        this comment of yours is many things but self-reflective, it ain't.

        how about you saying something like

        "there's no need to use ambiguous mocking language about men in dresses. the greater point about sexist men attacking women through oppressive legislation is far more important than disregarding the impact of trans dismissive language, even though I personally didn't consider that myself"
        instead of telling me that I am "hypersensitive" and derailing the conversation to something about bagpipes.

        what are you going to say next?
