Ten Republicans voted against it, no Democrats voted for it and 13 members did not vote.
Two years ago it was the Republicans who  voted in lock step, and some Democrats crossed  over, mostly Blue  Dog Democrats.

Have the Blue Dog Democrats learned a lesson, or have they just  all been voted out of office,  replaced by Republicans?

In general, I worry about enforced ideological purity.  But it sounds as  if this bill was so off the wall crazy nobody who allowed himself or herself to think about it could support it.

We're all pretty strange one way or another; some of us just hide it better. "Normal" is a dryer setting.
