  •  That's what Obama promised, (24+ / 0-)

but his Administration indicted me. So much for hope and change and then looking backwards to charge those exposing government wrongdoing and violations of the Constitution as traitors, turncoats and enemies of the state under the Espionage Act.

I am the only person to date indicted from the multi-year, multi-million dollar federal criminal national security 'leak' investigation launched by the Justice Department in late December of 2005, seeking the sources for the blockbuster New York Times article published two weeks earlier by Eric Lichtblau (notice he is the author of the lead article discussed in this diary!) and James Risen. This article revealed publicly for the first time the existence of a massive warrrantless wiretapping surveillance program conducted by NSA with the approval of the White House, and violated the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act with impunity in secret.

In addition, John Kiriakou is the only person charged to date in connection with the CIA torture program, except he opted out of the torture training, but now the government has chosen to severely punish him for revealing the dangerous truth that waterboarding is torture - something I experienced directly along with "enhanced interrogation techniques" during Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape (SERE) training as an aircrew member at Fairchild Air Force Base. Never did I imagine that this program would become the centerpiece means for treating our enemies as state policy - a complete and utter violation of standing law, and as a signatory to the Geneva Conventions.

But I guess our American 'exceptionalism' gave us immunity to do so.

Now it seems that all of this 'exceptionalism' is becoming quite the norm - even at home - and extending to all manner of extra-Constitutional injustice, including warrantless tracking of cellphones.

tragic. Must have been hell to fund and (you and your family) suffer through the agony for what 2 1/2 years?

Unfortunately for your question: "Who's going to stop them?"

I don't see Harry Reid as the answer...
