    It's too late to prosecute from a political perspective, since Obama wants to be re-elected, and the presumption is that American voters won't stand for rule of law.

    But what about January 2013? Can we hope to get some justice at that point? Or at least, a truth commission?

      I don't think it will happen because I think many things from the Bush Administration have been repeated by the Obama Administration, and no, they don't want any oversight on that.  The Executive Branch adopts the power from the previous Executive Branch and adds on their own authority and so on and so on.

      I wonder if any Executive Branch has ever reduced any of its authority "granted" by the previous Administration.  

      January to June 2009 was the perfect opportunity to stand up for the rule of law.  It didn't happen.  That was disgraceful.  And it wasn't only the Executive Branch, it was Congress, too, specifically Speaker Pelosi.

      I'll be surprised, for sure, but I don't think it will ever happen.
