  •  Here's a link and my review (18+ / 0-)

    of the NOAA app.

I see the price is actually $4.99. I got it on some sort of special, I guess.

    Here's my review:

It gives you alerts, NOAA forecasts, weather radio, and voice broadcasts, selectable by your preferred location. It also gives you zoomable weather maps, based on your station location. It's pretty complete. You can choose multiple locations for the push notifications, but you don't seem to be able to filter them by type.

It also gives you access to all the NOAA web products, including forecast maps, Storm prediction center maps, sector radars, National radars, etc

It seems pretty complete. We've been getting red flag warnings all day and it keeps sending me alerts, so I know the alerts work. Sometimes my local NOAA channel (Albany, NY) doesn't show up on the list, but I'm getting the alerts anyway.

If people are balking at the $9.99 for the Imaps app, this is half the price and has a bunch of features that are really useful.

    I recommend it.
