    The tornado took it down to the concrete foundation. THe NWS gave it a top of category EF2 but they could have easily put it in category 3 based on the damage I saw. For some reason, perhaps precedent, they seemed reluctant to rate it a 3.

    That was the same tornado that tracked into Raleigh. It was a EF2 on much of the track.

    FWIW, I'm not saying the NWS categorization was wrong. Warehouses aren't the strongest structures in the world. However, this warehouse had lots of hard material such as block that was scattered for hundreds of yards, leaving only the concrete foundation in place.
