    cut through the city.

    You can still see it today.  If you look at aerial photos, you can see a band of apartments between single-family homes running from the SW towards downtown.  That was the tornado's path.

    Shocking destruction.

      people owe their lives to the broadcaster/spotter who was trapped on Burnett's Mound during the height of the storm.

      I watch this and marvel that I am still here. They dug us out of our basement.
