    ...but I got up and drove to Walgreens to buy a weather radio. Thanks.  I meant to do it when you posted your previous diary on the subject, but I was too lazy.

    What got my attention this time was listening to the live coverage from Dallas online and hearing their spotters track tornadoes popping up out of nowhere. One of them called the tornado that hit an elementary school live, then had to drop their phone to get out and check to see if there was anyone hurt. THAT made an impression.  

    Living in Ohio, I have a very healthy respect for tornadoes. Only saw one in person, but that was enough. I was out in the flat part of the state with big square township roads and had to figure out fast which way to drive in order to get away from it. That's about the only time I hit 90 mph. I wouldn't do storm chasing for love nor money.
