    Republicans, any regulation is considered burdensome. You've still got politicians calling portions of the ADA burdensome to business (like Allen West complaining about Miami hotels having to make their swimming pools accessible). So any mention of "appropriate regulation" would be seen as a flip-flop to those folks.

      are things like Bush's "Clear Skies Act", which was suppose to clean the skies by allowing more air pollution. Or, his "Healthy Forests Initiative", which was designed to save the forest by cutting down all the trees.
