  •  Societies have averted local eco-collapse, (3+ / 0-)

    through painful trial and error processes that taught them sustainable agriculture, irrigation, erosion prevention, proper forestry, etc.  

    But there is no local now, and we are indeed evolutionarily unprepared for the situation we have created.  Our tech has far outraced our wisdom & morals, and we are poised to pay the price.

    Before elections have their consequences, Activism has consequences for elections.

      have done this, but it does take a communitarian approach, something the Japanese are good at, but Americans not so much so.
