  •  Does anyone else see the huge disconnect? (4+ / 0-)
GOP write law cutting ALL funding for low-income kids saying "Women should really be home with the kids, not out working (Maryland)
Ok, if you want to encourage women to stay home with the kids, shouldn't you be funding that rather than cutting funding to programs that help support the kids?  I mean really, where's the logic in this??
All of the GOP Anti-woman legislation is bad and downright evil, but I can't even wrap my mind around what reasoning they would use here.

    •  And assuming you want moms to stay home and work, (5+ / 0-)

shouldn't you make sure the menfolk can find jobs?  Jobs that pay more than $8 an hour with no benefits?  How many hours a week of single digit dollars do you think it takes to support a family of four, anyway?

Of course there's a disconnect.  The same disconnect that let's "pro-lifers" deny health care coverage to anyone outside the womb and encourages us to bomb, bomb, bomb other countries.  Countries that presumably have pregnant women in them.

No one in the media is gonna call them on their BS, though.  It's up to us.
