    since they appeared.  Thank you for covering this so clearly and so well.   The Catholic / Latino relationship is a long and complicated one.  The church seems to be constantly willing to cause turmoil and strife between its members.  

    Valuing the strength of family is a major factor in the things that have allowed people to survive under difficult circumstances in Mexico, Central America, South America.  If the church tries to come between mothers and children, they're responsible for the fallout.

    It is a shame such a wealthy, powerful, widespread force is not used towards its potential for Good in the world.  Instead, it seems to used mainly for the need to control others and provide lives of comfort among a very small group of men.
