The TeaOP in North Carolina displayed similar chicanery this year with a veto override vote that got us our terrible state budget in a midnight session, followed by other unannounced votes done at 1AM.

Due to the fact that the later votes were announced AFTER the budget vote, some Democrats were not in attendance (they went home because it was MIDNIGHT), giving the TeaOP de facto override numbers on a number of bills, including one that effectively guts any semblance of a teacher's union here in this 'right to fire workers' state.

When pressed on their ethics, they claimed that 'the Democrats did the same thing', which was at best a half truth, since the Dems did have late sessions, but never withheld the nature of the votes that would take place.

They truly are evil and need to be voted out.  Every one of them.   And their Blue Dog friends as well.

democracy is described as "evil" and even sadder that it's true.

Thank God the Republicans have revealed their true colours before they got all their ducks in a row* and there's still time to stop them.

One thing imperative, imo, is convincing the Democratic senators that they have to put the filibuster rule on a starvation diet.  (Only way to save the Supreme Court.)  How they can't see that the Republicans will do that at their first opportunity is beyond me.
