  •  Where is the Justice Department on this? (10+ / 0-)

"State's Rights" my ass...the White House should be shining a massive spotlight on this in an effort to (rightfully) taint the entire Republican Party with this...well, coup d'etat.

Our Fair City...a campy post-apocalyptic science fiction radio epic!

A coup d'état is a  coup d'état whether the état is grand or petite. A town, a nation, it doesn't matter. Democracy is absolute: you either have it or you don't.

The Justice Department, or the Michigan Supreme Court, or the State Attorney General or somebody should have pounced on the Emergency Manager overreach instantly, in my I'm-not-feeling-humble opinion.

And now I'm going to help a friend clean her house for Sunday dinner—a soothing activity to purify the mind after thinking about these Republicrazies. TTYL.

      I suddenly started a blog. http://jglookups.blogspot.com/.

      •  Give them rope (0+ / 0-)

As far as how long it took the Democratic reps to do anything, I agree that they had to give them enough rope to hang themselves. If they had moved too soon it would have looked like sour grapes.
Republicans the Party of small government. HA.
