    He was president when I finally finished at Haverford, although he was on sabbatical during my senior year -  back for graduation but did not sign our diplomas

    I also knew his son

    I actually walked into Legal Seafoods while Jack was working there but did not see him.  Now, that might have been interesting

    If you want someone else who "got it" former Congressman Bob Edgar from 7th District of PA.  While he was in House Bob was as far as I know the first to regularly take time and go work in the businesses of constituents to see what their lives were really like.  Thus even though his district was heavily Republican by registration at the time, he had a lock on it, and only left because he ran for the Senate and lost.

    That is the district that Joe Sestak held, btw.
