Great post Teacherken; one of the most remarkable aspects of romney's campaign is his delusion that he has anything in common with more than 0.1% of the rest of American.
I have a problem though, I'm still shell shocked from the 2010 elections where I saw Americans vote en masse for people whose sole goal was to destroy all that makes America great.
    I saw Americans elect george w. bush........twice.
In my nightmares I see them electing romney and a post like this shows just how awful that would be.

    •  I don't see them electing Romney (6+ / 0-)

and I never have, for lots of reasons

and despite my spouse, who is sure he will win and worries about what it will mean, recent events have made me even more sure that he won't

I suspect that when push comes to shove he will opt for Rob Portman both to emphasize the economy and in the hopes it will help him carry Ohio, a state without which no Republican has ever won.

First, I do not think Obama actually needs Ohio to win.

Second, I do not think Portman in 2nd slot will make all that much of a difference even in Ohio.

But all of this is irrelevant to why I wrote this post.

I was, as noted, watching video of the recent clip for the 3rd time, and Romney's remarks about working in the real world just exploded in my brain. I grabbed my computer, found the exact quote, cut and pasted it, and then began writing.  This took perhaps 10 minutes to write and post.

Did have to fix a couple of typos that apparently no one noticed except me when i reread it.

I might also repeat something I tweeted that Blue Jersey Mom offered:

From a good friend: "Mitt is paying more for a lobbyist for his car elevator that I have ever spent for a car."
      Peace.

The second time, Diebold selected him.
