... so true.  I'd prefer to toss all the politicians out and fill all of Congress, Senate and the whitehouse with Iraq war veterans straight out of the VA.  Let the corporations try to bribe and coerce crappy legislation from crippled war veterans who gave parts of their bodies for this country.

I don't think I'd want people who volunteered to fight an illegal war making even higher-level life-and-death decisions on my behalf.

qualify a person to be a leader or even be a moral compass for others.

How bout a president who lets the people who started the illegal war slide off into the sunset  while continuing those very wars that have an impossible goal?  Is that a "moral compass"?  Not in my book, the PNAC goals are still being pursued ... libya (check), syria (in the works) and Iran (drumbeat)

guess telling the truth about what has happened over the past 3.5 years makes me 'the divider' of progressives.

            •  You're not telling the truth. (0+ / 0-)

You're cherry picking all the shit you have a problem with and waving it in people's faces so they'll lose sight of the prize, forget what's already been accomplished, and think their friends are their enemies.  Stop it or prove yourself part of the problem.

                Jobs Act:

                http://www.alternet.org/...

William K Black had some choice words about the Jobs Act.  He actually enforced regulatory laws back in the day laws were enforced.

"MALCOLM Turnbull has sharply criticised the corrupting power of money in the US and described America as looking ''like a country that is barely governed''

                ....
"the former Liberal leader and member of Tony Abbott's shadow cabinet says American politics is becoming ''profoundly dysfunctional''.

                Read more: http://www.theage.com.au/...

There are plenty of other examples such as a 4 part video series of Putin recently lamenting the state of governance in the US and the threat they are posing to the world at a Munich press conference with many european leaders there.

Matt Taibbi of Rolling Stone also had some choice words about these 'accomplishments":

                http://www.commondreams.org/...

I know you and others here hate my guts because I don't fall in line and attack me when I point out these things that contradict what people want to believe about Obama.  I have been attacked repeatedly over the years as a "Rush Limbaugh" type or a Glenn Beck follower and nothing could be further from the truth.

As loathsome as the GOP is, the false hope and change that Obama has delivered so far doesn't give me warm fuzzies about the future.  Neither did the line of homeless on every street corner for a mile and a half stretch I take to get on the highway to work..never saw that one before and that is in a state/city that is doing "well".

I guess a currency and/or market collapse next year would be better under Obama, if that is what hope and change is all about.
