I have been reading on other sites that most of these plants around the world have more spent rods than they should have by far.  We let all these things be built because it was supposed to be cheap and then we made the rich richer by subsidizing them so they built as many as they could.

Now the problem is if we do have massive solar flares that wipe out most of electricity on the planet.  These pumps and things cannot run and they start to heat up and very quickly go boom from all these rods melting down.

So we might have an electrical problem that we will eventually solve but we won't have the time if over a 1000 plants around the world go boom from nuclear spent rods.  It would be the same as a nuclear war aroound the world.

No one contemplated all this  -- unintended consequences or just worst case scenerios are never faced.

When we exploded the first bomb in Los Alamos---lots of things were more theory then fact.  Of the major scientists concerned 50% believed that the explosion could well ignite the atmosphere   but they did it anyway.

Death is always so much more profitable and exciting than life to the PTB.
