    not sure how it could be better.  At least in your case reason prevailed.  In my jury experience I was a bit surprised by the lack of reason amongst a handful of the jurors.

      Three has to be some kind of training provided for jurors.  Technology is getting way beyond the average person to comprehend, and the most basic principles of law, evidence, and fundamental reasoning abilities are beyond our "peers" walking down the street.

      Far too many jurors are easily fooled when complexity meets dishonesty.  I would much rather see people who've gone through some training getting paid a stipend for their service, and who are constantly reviewed by a group of lawyers and judges, sit on a jury.
